I've Been Published!

My sweet friend, Donna Watson began a new series of books called, A Cup of Tea for the Heart.  She along with Rita Goad just had the books published and are ready to purchase.  I got an order in today and I'm so excited.  They are really cute, too!  I love the polka dots on the cover!

I'm on page 99!  :)  Just in case you were wondering why I was so excited!  If you would like one, I can sell them for $16.99.  Just let me know! :)  This edition is titled, "Tough Times Don't Last~Tough Women Do."

Go to the website at www.teafortheheart.com to read more about it and their upcoming books as well.

I have several friends that have a story in it as well, so I know it's even better! :)

It's A................

Oliver will soon have a baby brother to play with!
Patti and Rodrick invited us to meet them for dinner after they left, Sneak a Peek, to find out what the little precious one is!

When we arrived, the stage was set for Zoe (2) to tell us what they were having......she decided she didn't want to tell us, as Rodrick said, "stage fright".....so, Patti told us they were having a sweet baby boy!  A sweet lady told me,  "another godly man in the making."

We are all so excited!  Oliver is especially excited to have a brother in the family.

Happy Birthday, Nathan!

Our baby is 25 today!  Happy Birthday, Nathan!  So many precious memories of you growing up.  What precious memories I have of you now as a strong young man of such integrity!  How thankful I am for everything that you are.  You love and honor your parents and you stand strong for your Savior.  I am blessed to have you as a son!  I love you more than you will ever know (even though you are vegetarian!) ;)

Organizing with Lane Jordan...

A few years ago, I bought the book, 12 Steps to Becoming A More Organized Woman, at our local Christian book store.  I loved this book, as organizing is one of my favorite things to do.  When we needed a speaker for one of our women's events, I contacted Lane Jordan, the author.  She came and spoke for us and what a delight she was!  She is now a sweet friend and I am thankful to know her.  She has since then written a couple more books and is about to have another one published on Christmas organization.  I can't wait to read that one!

Go to her website and check it all out.  She has a wonderful blog on organization, you will LOVE it!

Love and Honor Your Husband!

Jim and I.  (31 years ago.)

I made a post on my blog for homeschool moms about honoring your husbands.  A  Heart For Homeschool Moms is my blog to encourage and give information for the homeschooling mom.

I grew up in a fatherless home, so I never saw a husband/wife relationship first hand, except maybe my Aunt and Uncle.  But, I didn't see them 24/7, like you would a mother and father.

Learning to be a wife and a godly wife were at the top of my list and it wasn't a piece of cake for me.  I was very independent.  I was used to taking care of myself and it was very hard for me to trust and rely on someone else.  Poor Jim, he had so much patience with me and so much love and care, he stuck it out and helped me learn.

I read many books and sought God's wisdom from His Word.  I watched couples at church.  I also remembered the teaching from my mom.

I gave my heart to Christ when I was 14.  My mom was in her early 30's when she became a Christian.  As my mother got into the Word and under the teaching at church on the home and family, she taught me and made sure that I understood the role as a godly wife.  I appreciate that about my mom.  Even though, she and my dad were divorced, she still wanted me to know and learn God's ways for a godly home.  I am very thankful for that.

Moms, teach your sons and daughters what God intended for the home and how to love your husband/wife!
